Keynote speaker, lecturer, materials developer, and facilitator,
Dr. Malu consults on a wide variety of projects in domestic and international settings. Her workshops, speaking engagements, and teaching materials focus on literacy development and language acquisition, gender issues, peace and social justice,
inter-faith dialogue, environmental protection, anti-bullying,
and democracy in action. 

            In the U.S.A., she assists school districts with teacher professional development, making classroom visits and modeling “best practices.”
She speaks to students about her work abroad and sets up
Skyping sessions with schools around the world.

            At the international level, Dr. Malu has worked in Turkey, 
​the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Rwanda, Ethiopia, Kenya, and South Africa. She is as an English Language Specialist for the U.S. Department of State and a Fulbright Specialist candidate. She uses cross-cultural knowledge and skills
​to promote mutual understanding wherever she goes.
